GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. —
The man charged with an armed bank robbery in northeast Grand Rapids has a history of robbery, including an active case out of Indiana, which is linked to Grand Rapids store thefts.
Hollis C. Nunnery is charged with bank robbery and armed robbery, both life offenses.
On Oct. 20, the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) was called to the Lake Michigan Credit Union at 1820 Leonard St NE for a bank robbery.
When officers arrived, the suspect—identified as Nunnery—was gone.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the bank teller was “shaken up” from the incident. The woman says she was at her desk when a man walked up.
The man apparently told her, “You need to put all the money in the bag before I shoot you in the face.”
