IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - A Democrat running for Iowa’s First Congressional District is inviting other Democrats to a debate ahead of primaries in 2026.

Travis Terrell extended the invitation to primary opponents Christina Bohannan and Taylor Wettach.

In a news release, Terrell says the event “aims to give voters in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District the open, honest conversation they deserve.”

Terrell proposed doing the debate on Tuesday, December 3rd from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Iowa City Public Library, and asked all the campaigns to take part in the planning process. He says “a neutral moderator from the University of Iowa student organization Progressive Victory Iowa has volunteered to oversee the discussion.”
