'They're a problem': Diwali fireworks damage two houses in south Edmonton, three charged with arson

Travis Kammerer had just got his daughter tucked into bed on Monday night and was going to wind down for the evening when a short-time later his daughter ran out of her room to tell him that she saw a “large orange glow” in the back yard.

“I went to investigate and I saw an unmistakable fire in my back yard. I went outside and my garage was on fire,” recalled Kammerer.

“I went back in and got my family and my dog out and tried to do something with my fire extinguisher, but I wasn’t able to do much.”
