CHEYENNE — Local firefighters responded to reports of smoke and fire that caused significant damage to a home at East Fifth Street and Russell Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
Cheyenne Fire Rescue (CFR) posted to Facebook at approximately 3:34 p.m., alerting the community of the fire and instructing them to avoid the area.
No residents were in the house at the time, and no injuries to residents or first responders had been reported as of Wednesday afternoon.
“So far, we know very little,” CFR Battalion Chief Ryan Anderson told the Wyoming Tribune Eagle. “... When units arrived on scene, they reported heavy fire on the first floor. At this time, the fire is under investigation.”
