CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A former Charlotte Hornets player was arrested by the FBI on Thursday as part of a sports betting investigation, according to ESPN.
that Terry Rozier -- who played in nearly 300 games for the Hornets -- was taken into custody at a hotel in Orlando, just hours after Rozier and the Miami Heat lost their season opener to the Magic.
ESPN said Rozier’s arrest stemmed from an investigation into a March 23, 2023 game when he was still with Charlotte. Sportsbooks in multiple states allegedly flagged “suspicious” betting on Rozier props, which took the unders on his points, rebounds and assists.
During that game, Rozier played only 10 minutes before he left with an injury.
