PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - A 30-year-old man was hospitalized after his vehicle crashed into trees early Thursday morning on Sterling Road.

The driver was traveling eastbound on 46 Sterling Road at approximately 4:09 a.m. when he failed to navigate a turn, according to the Plainfield Police Department.

His vehicle struck a guardrail, launching it into the tree line where it became lodged between two trees.

The Moosup and Plainfield Fire Department used the jaws of life to extract Cintron from the vehicle.

He was transported by American Legion Ambulance to Norwich Backus Hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash.
