WATERFORD, CT (WFSB) - The Crystal Mall in Waterford has a new owner.
General Dynamics Electric Boat announced on Thursday that it acquired the mall, which included the entire property with the exception of the former Sears location.
The company said the purchase followed its June acquisition of a former Macy’s location in support of the company’s plan to speed up submarine production.
“We are delighted to announce our further expansion in southeastern Connecticut,” said Mark Rayha, president of Electric Boat, in a news release. “This space in Waterford offers us a unique opportunity in an attractive location to consolidate support functions and focus our waterfront footprint on efficiently delivering the submarines our nation needs.”
