DOÑA ANA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – In the small Southern New Mexico town of Mesilla, the state will open its eighth historic site, which is described by those who operate it as "not like any other."

The Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site encompasses the home of the late New Mexico legislator, educator, and community leader J. Paul Taylor and his wife Mary Daniels Taylor, an award-winning photographer and writer. The property, which includes two storefronts and a large residence, is located on the historic plaza in Old Mesilla.
