CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A man has been arrested for alleged "Manslaughter" for a shooting that occurred on Labor Day in a Canyon trailer park that led to the death of a child.

As previously reported on MyHighPlains.com, at around 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 1, the Canyon Police Department was dispatched to the Palo Duro Trailer Park for a call about a child being shot. CPD stated in the original story that the child was found dead on arrival and an autopsy had been ordered.

According to the Canyon Police Department, the investigation of the shooting was presented to the Randall County District Attorney's Office on Sept. 9 and then presented to a Randall County Grand Jury on Oct. 8.
