SAVANNAH, Ga. — Savannah police are expanding their special victims unit to combat internet predators who target children, partnering with federal and state agencies including the FBI and GBI to track down offenders when tips come in.
The expansion comes as predators increasingly use new technology like artificial intelligence to take advantage of kids, including AI-generated images, voice changers and digital masks to hide their identities.
