KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WNCN) — The man accused of robbing a bank then, leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase two days later has had numerous run-ins with the law for more than 25 years, according to court records.

Records show 52-year-old Anthony Mingo spent six months in prison for drug possession charges in 2005. He has been arrested and put on probation numerous times for mostly non-violent offenses since the 1990s.

Mingo is charged with common law robbery after allegedly robbing the PNC Bank on Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh, Monday morning. It's unclear how much money was stolen.

Raleigh Police released images of the suspect on Monday, asking for the public's help identifying him. On Wednesday, a Wake County Sheriff's Deputy sprang into action.
