RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A chase in Wake County Thursday afternoon ended with the suspect crashing his vehicle into another car, deputies said.
According to the Wake County Sheriff's Office, a deputy saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Interstate 40 east near Gorman Steet. When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle fled.
Deputies said the suspect vehicle left I-40 to go on Lake Wheeler Road, where it struck a car not involved in the chase.
The man driving the suspect vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No one else was reported to have been injured in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
