A woman has been charged with murder after she had been staying at a Central Queensland house that burned down, killing a mother and two young boys.

This masthead confirmed the woman was the same person located with minor injuries immediately after the fire, early on October 15.

She was expected to face a bedside hearing on Friday.

The property, on Whiting Street in the Gladstone suburb of Toolooa, went up in flames about 6am.

Neighbours said they heard two bangs followed by a woman screaming for help.

The bodies of 36-year-old Jordana Johnson, her 12-year-old son Jordan Norris and his 13-year-old friend Chazz Mather were recovered by emergency teams.

Police confirmed on Friday morning they had charged a 37-year-old Toolooa woman with three counts of murder and two counts of arson.
