COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Students at Southwood Valley Elementary School will return to class on Friday morning following a closure on Thursday due to a nearby water line repair by the City of College Station.

“Thank you to our families for your flexibility and understanding during the repair, and a special thank you to the City of College Station for its work and communication throughout the process,” the school district shared on Thursday evening.

Nearby homes were also impacted by the repairs, including homes on Brothers Blvd and Deacon Drive.

The city of College Station said on Thursday morning that another valve had to be closed, resulting in additional homes being without water on the Cimmaron Court and Mescalero Court cul-de-sacs.
