The Whitecap Resources Centre has been buzzing with the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings back in action, and the Weyburn Police Service is reminding fans to be responsible when taking in the game, especially when consuming alcohol.

The reminder comes after a pair of incidents at last Friday's hockey game, when two people came into police custody after leaving the arena intoxicated. Deputy Chief Shane St. John explains one man was arrested for being drunk in public, after patrol officers found him heavily intoxicated.

“It wasn't safe for him to make it home on his own or care for himself in that state.”

He was held in cells until sober and then released.
