A three-year-old boy has died in the foyer of a South East Queensland police station, after police were called to a believed crash scene.
Authorities received reports of a traffic crash on Burnside Road in Ormeau, Gold Coast, just before 5am on Saturday.
Police officers arrived to find a car crashed in the bushes beside the road.
They also discovered a 22-year-old woman with the three-year-old boy who had been inside the vehicle.
Their inquiries suggested a witness had helped the woman, Queensland Police said in a statement.
Police took the pair to Beenleigh Police Station.
After a “short time” the boy became unresponsive in the foyer of the station and officers rushed to perform CPR.
The boy, however, could not be saved.
Police believe a 24-year-old man was also in the vehicle but
