A woman has been seriously injured after being struck by a BMW outside a cafe in inner Sydney on Saturday morning.
A man who allegedly fled the scene in the car has been arrested and the woman is in hospital.
The collision happened on Norton St in Leichhardt about 9.50am.
CCTV footage shows the silver BMW slowly rolling straight across Norton Street with its right indicator blinking, through the T-junction.
Pedestrians bang on the window to alert the driver. The driver appears to regain consciousness about two seconds before hitting the woman and pinning her against a wall.
People help the woman inside the cafe, while another member of the public opens the BMW door, checking on the driver.
The driver gets out briefly, then rummages through the front of his car, before getting back in
