BRAWLEY— The Brawley Police Department is reminding parents and guardians to avoid double parking near schools during drop-off and pick-up hours. The department is currently in a warning phase, but beginning Monday, officers will move to a zero-tolerance enforcement policy. Citations will be issued for violations.
Police officials say double parking not only slows traffic but also creates serious safety hazards for students.
