BRAWLEY— At Barbara Worth Junior High School in Brawley, the after-school hours are anything but ordinary. Between the ASES and ARC programs, students are learning life skills, building confidence, and even preparing for high school — all while having fun.
Elizabeth Banuelos, the ASES lead teacher, and Mary Angel Corona, site coordinator for ARC, are two of the driving forces behind the programs. Together, they’ve cultivated a space where students can explore new interests, gain academic support, and take pride in their accomplishments.
