LORAIN, Ohio — Lorain police have identified the victim in last week’s Lakeview Park North shooting as 18-year-old Isaac Brocco-Rivera, according to a news release from the department.

Authorities said the fatal incident happened Oct. 18 when a firearm was accidentally discharged inside a vehicle by a juvenile family member who was with Brocco-Rivera.

Police from the Lorain Criminal Investigations Bureau have recovered a second handgun, believed to be the weapon involved in the shooting, which has been sent for forensic testing. No additional persons of interest have been identified, and officials said there are no known active threats to the public related to the case.
