MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police released surveillance video of a suspect in a September aggravated assault that left one person shot in the leg.

Officers responded to an aggravated assault in the 300 block of West Mitchell Road on Sept. 26 around 2:30 in the afternoon.

Officers were told the victim was approached by a male suspect, who mumbled some words toward him, and then fired multiple shots, hitting the victim in the leg. The victim returned fire in self-defense.

The first suspect was observed in video recordings brandishing a firearm and firing shots at the victim. After the shooting, the suspect fled on foot and entered a white Subaru Outback, which was driven by the second suspect.
