SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - More than 70 Siouxlanders took a hike through Floyd Cemetery to learn history Saturday Oct. 25.
The walking tour, which was hosted by the Sioux City Public Museum, took place around 10 a.m.
The tour made stops at several graves of important people who made significant contributions to the community, allowing those who came the chance to hear their stories.
One of the tour leaders, Tom Munson, said he was excited to see all the people who came out to tour the city’s oldest cemetery.
“I think this is just a really good opportunity for people to learn a little bit more about their community. Also it’s a good way for people to get out and get like a mile walk in, in the morning, and get some hills,” Munson said. “We’re just so excited to do these tours and we’re always
