SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The first “Trick-or-Treat Riding” is officially in the books.
It was created this year to bring Halloween to kids who can’t go trick-or-treating.
Todd Cooley came up with the idea after seeing his nephew, who has been wheel chair bound since birth, get pushed out of the way while trying to trick-or-treat 4 years ago.
Since then, his nephew has never gone trick or treating.
Cooley decided to create a ride for bikers to go to children’s houses and bring candy to them, so they can experience the good side of Halloween.
Saturday, Oct. 25, over two dozen bikers dressed up in their costumes and met at the Sioux City Marina.
They had 13 stops on their list, and gave candy to over 30 children throughout Siouxland, making stops in Sioux City, South Sioux City and Sergeant
