NAUGATUCK, Conn. — Half a year of construction finally has come to an end in Naugatuck , bringing a Glow Up to the community.

Nights in downtown Naugatuck are just a little brighter now. The community welcomed the “glow-up” Saturday evening after months of construction.

“The roads have been so busy and overpacked," Deva Yilmaz, with A-1 Pizza, said to reporters on Oct. 7, "It’s slowed down our business.”

Naugatuck resident Linda Laclair shared her thoughts.

“Some days, the road was closed, so you couldn’t come. Other days it was open; you could come halfway, but all in all, now that it’s done, it’s beautiful,” she said.

With new bricks laid and new lights placed along Church Street to bring nightlife back, a new façade aims to help build toward the future of the downtown area.
