PORTLAND, Ore. — A Portland teenager was arrested less than 24 hours after the shooting of a 19-year-old male victim in the Centennial Neighborhood on October 22, 2025.

The arrest of the 16-year-old male was the result of information shared with the PPB by a Portland Police School Liaison Officer.

Last Wednesday, officers from the East Precinct and the Focused Intervention Team (FIT) responded to the shooting at 3.39 p.m. near Southeast 174 th Avenue and Southeast Haig Street.

On arrival at the scene, they found a young male victim with a bullet wound to his torso. He was transported to the hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
