Throughout his remarkably successful snooker career, Steve Davis earned the tongue-in-cheek moniker of the "most boring player in the world".
Following his breakthrough onto the professional circuit in the late 1970s, the London-born star proceeded to dominate the sport for year. Davis reached eight World Championship finals and claimed six world titles, whilst maintaining the world number one position for seven consecutive seasons.
