An empty high street church is set to be transformed into a café.
Applicant Northern Property People Investments said it wishes to convert the Independent Methodist church on Lee Lane in Horwich.
The traditional gothic revival style building would become a community café with many of the church features, including the organ, staying in place.

The historic church, which dates back to 1906, has been marketed for £300,000 by estate agents Lifestyle Sales & Lettings.
The church has not been in active use for more than two years and is currently vacant.
The building retains original church features throughout including stained-glass windows, pointed arches, decorative brickwork and traditional roof forms.
