Michigan State Police troopers from the Paw Paw Post say officers were involved in a shooting incident Friday night on westbound I-94 near mile marker 66 in Van Buren County.

MSP reported no injuries, and no one was struck by gunfire. A male suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of operating while impaired.

The westbound left lane of the highway was shut down near the scene for investigators to process evidence. Detectives from the MSP Fifth District Special Investigations Section are handling the case.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released.
