FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify a driver they say was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in northeast Franklin County earlier this month.

On Oct. 19, deputies were called on a report of a crash on Westerville Road, south of Innis Road, in Clinton Township, just before 5 a.m.

The sheriff's office said a driver was traveling southbound on Westerville Road when they struck two women in the road.

Both women were transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition. One of the women was pronounced dead at 5:48 a.m.

The sheriff's office said the vehicle involved is a dark-colored four-door sedan that has front-end damage.

Photos of the vehicle involved can be seen below.
