CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The 19 First Weather Team has issued an Alert Day for Thursday as steady rain and wind will roll into Northeast Ohio.

No issues for this evening outside of an easterly breeze as temperatures fall into the 30s.

Sunshine kicks off our Wednesday with highs back into the mid 50s before changes return to the forecast later in the day as winds begin to pick up.

The timing for the rain will begin late Wednesday afternoon across our southern counties before it gradually fills in northward Wednesday night. As we get into Thursday, widespread showers, some which could be heavier at times, will settle into the area. While flooding concerns are low, any drainage areas clogged by leaves will struggle to allow rain water to drain properly and could lead to low-lying flooding
