HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A Holyoke woman was arrested Monday after police say she was caught stealing the contents of a package from a home and was found to have two outstanding warrants.

According to Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan, the arrest took place Monday night after police observed a woman on a bicycle in the area of Dwight Street and Monroe Street around 7:30 p.m.

Police said the woman, later identified as 44-year-old Doris Valentin of Holyoke, got off her bike and walked onto private property that had a "No Trespassing" sign. Police reported that she appeared to be checking a package at the home.
