OREGON, USA — DoorDash announced an emergency food response as the U.S. Department of Agriculture prepares to suspend Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits Nov. 1.
The company said it will deliver 1 million free meals through food banks and waive fees for an estimated 300,000 SNAP recipient grocery orders in November.
DoorDash said the suspension could affect more than 40 million Americans, including 21 million children, 16 million working families and 5 million seniors.
