LORETTO (WTAJ) -- After a historic run to the NCAA tournament, Saint Francis is determined to strike again in final season of Division I hoops.

Last spring, an NEC Tournament championship pushed Saint Francis into the tournament field for the first time since 1991 where the Red Flash suffered a 70-68 loss to Alabama State. Still the momentum from the small school in "Middle of nowhere USA" making it to the tournament permeates Loretto.

"We kind of got that middle of nowheresville tag," said first year head coach Luke McConnell. "We got those t-shirts made up really quickly, and that's one of those things, you just walk around campus Altoona, Johnson, I see that shirt everywhere.
