SOS and Walmart have teamed up to host a food drive this Saturday, to help SOS clients and families affected by the recent cuts to WIC and SNAP benefits for the month of November. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., participants can drop off food supplies at the north and south entrances of Walmart.
Residents can shop at Walmart during those hours, and leave contributions with SOS staff stationed at the doors. Those who cannot make it during those hours can visit soskansas.com/donate and mark their gift for the food drive by selecting “This is an honor or memorial gift” and typing in “food drive.”
“Families and individuals who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse or neglect already face increased challenges during the holiday seasons,” Hannah Crowl, Community
