At 2:41 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a coastal flood statement valid for Thursday between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. for the Bronx.
The weather service states, "Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline."
"Some water on low-lying roads and property," adds the weather service. "Do not drive through flooded roadways."
