SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Officials on Wednesday cut the ribbon on a new state-of-the-art aviation tech center for Burlington area students.

The $12 million project came to life through federal grants and taxpayer dollars for students from the Burlington School District and 11 other schools.

Located next to the Burlington airport, students will take part in programs including automotive, design engineering, and manufacturing. It will also be the home of the high school aviation program.

“Having a beautiful facility with state-of-the-art tools and equipment in there is what students deserve to learn with in this day and age.
