PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - Kees Park in Pineville is temporarily closed as city crews work to make important safety repairs. The closure comes after the Parks and Recreation Department’s daily inspection found several areas that needed maintenance.

Parks and Recreation Director James Rachal said the repairs focus on replacing and fixing worn-out equipment to keep the park safe for everyone. Crews are already on site making the updates.

“We have our employees check the park daily, looking for any broken equipment or anything that might be cracked or punctured,” Rachal said. “If we see that, we make a list and then pick a day to shut the park down and do the repairs and maintenance.”
