WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - A restaurant and convenience store in Waterville has been offering free pizza slices to kids since they opened last year, but lately, they say they’ve gotten busier and busier.
Owners of OnlyPans, located on Water Street, say they don’t prioritize profits but instead, making an impact on the community.
They say they’re trying to do so by selling cheap meals for families and giving a free slice to any kid that walks through the door.
They’ve continued to grow since they opened last October but say recently, they’ve noticed concerning trends within their community, not with just kids showing up, but families as a whole.
“What we’ve noticed is a lot of people in this neighborhood, but not just in this neighborhood, are working multiple jobs,” said Co-Owner Desir
