SILETZ Ore. (KPTV) - The mother of a 2-year-old boy found dead in the Siletz River this spring said she’s not satisfied with how investigators handled the case, in her first TV interview since her son’s disappearance.
Dane Paulsen went missing in March and was found dead in the Siletz River 11 days later. This week, his father Aaron Paulsen was indicted on one count of second-degree child neglect, accused of not watching Dane and allowing him to fall into the river.
But Cha Met Jackson, Dane’s mother, believes there’s more to the story. She’s still haunted by the day her son went missing.
“There’s not a moment I don’t think about him,” Jackson said. “Life is not the same. It is quiet here.”
