ATLANTA — The Atlanta Dogwood Festival announced it is charging an entrance fee for the 2026 event as the organization is struggling to raise more than $200,000 by November.
In August, organizers of the 90th annual event said it was at risk of being canceled if they did not raise $250,000 by Nov. 1. As of Oct. 29, the festival has only raised $71,867 from community supporters and donations from philanthropists.
Since they have not reached their goal, the City of Atlanta Mayor's Office is agreeing to allow the event to charge a nominal fee without the fencing and gating of Piedmont Park, as is required under the ticketed permit type.
