UNION CITY, Ga. — A dramatic video shared with 11Alive on Thursday shows when a train collided into a truck stuck on the tracks in Union City the morning before.
Two people were injured Wednesday in the train collision in Union City, authorities said.
The video shows what appears to be an Amazon 18-wheeler on the tracks as an approaching train honks its horn. Then the train crashes right through the truck, splitting it in half.
Fulton County 911 dispatch confirmed Wednesday to 11Alive's Rachel Cox-Rosen and Doug Turnbull that it happened at Westbrook Avenue and Watson Street.
The severity of the injuries for the two people was not detailed Wednesday, and there was no update yet as of Thursday afternoon. It was also not known if they were in the truck at the time the collision occurred
