A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was injured in an alleged stabbing in Stevenston.
Michael Fisher, 34, of Kilwinning, Ayrshire, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 30.
As well as attempted murder, he was also charged with vandalism, behaving in an threatening or abusive manner, assaulting a police officer and possession of a controlled drug.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody. He is expected to appear in court again within the next eight days.
Police were alerted to an incident on Greenhead Avenue in Stevenston, North Ayrshire , around 12pm on Tuesday, October 28.
Emergency crews, including officers and paramedics, raced to the scene, where a 56-year-old man had sustained injuries
