A wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 12:02 p.m. valid from Friday 11 a.m. until Saturday 5 a.m. for Northern Wayne and Southern Wayne as well as Bradford, Susquehanna, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne and Pike counties.
The weather service describes, "West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph expected."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," says the weather service. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects."
