A wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 1:08 p.m. valid from Friday 11 a.m. until Saturday 5 a.m. for Cayuga and Oswego counties.
The weather service adds, "West to northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, including Halloween decorations. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," adds the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
