KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Hours after Tennessee's 100-point exhibition win, Lady Vols guard Ruby Whitehorn was charged with a misdemeanor crime near campus.

According to the University of Tennessee Police Department's 60-day crime log, Whitehorn was charged with simple possession early Thursday morning.

The incident occurred hours after the Lady Vols defeated Columbus State 148-48 in an exhibition at Food City Center on Wednesday. The senior played 20 minutes in the contest, scoring 18 points and securing seven rebounds.

Attorney Greg Isaacs, who is also a 6 News legal analyst, said in a statement that Whitehorn was cooperative and plans to plead not guilty. 6 News has reached out to Tennessee Athletics for a statement.
