LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Under the bright lights of a cool October night, nearly all the ballfields at the Lyndon Recreation Association are normally being used.
On a little field in the back far corner, the Railriders and their coach, Galen Roquet, wrapped up their fall season.
“The recreational leagues are doing good, but they’re maxed out,” Roquet said. “We are just having a hard time finding fields to play on.”
Roquet, a developer by day for Investment Property Advisors (IPA), wants to bring a baseball complex to the metro.
The plan calls for 16 new fields and several other sports facilities for public use. Where that would be is still in the works.
“I think if we can find a place central to the city, then we can support the rec leagues,” Roquet says. “We can support JCPS. We can
