NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is now expanding.

The plans come after it bought a major piece of the company behind hospitals in Clarksville for $600 million. The news of the deal was announced in a Thursday press release.

Vanderbilt bought 80% ownership of Tennova Healthcare, which is a 270-bed hospital in Clarksville, along with other businesses in the city.
