The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run at Chef Menteur Highway and Bundy Road.

The NOPD said just before 10 p.m. Thursday that an adult was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The call came in at 9:12 p.m. and the victim was declared deceased at the scene by NOEMS.

Police provided no additional details.
