GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — A $5 million revitalization of Garfield Boulevard is complete, a project officials say will improve safety, mobility and neighborhood connections while expanding access to green space.
In addition to resurfacing Garfield Boulevard from Warner Road to Turney Road, a multi-trail was added to link the roadway to Garfield Park Reservation.
The 0.9-mile Garfield Boulevard Connector Trail now connects with the Mill Creek Connector and the Towpath Trail, creating a continuous route for walking and cycling across the region.
The project also involved new streetscapes designed to slow traffic and manage stormwater.
