A doctor convicted of making sexual advances toward a 76-year-old Sterling Heights woman in her home, then masturbating in front of her when she rebuffed him, will start serving weekends in the Macomb County Jail, beginning Halloween night.

Stephen Bruce Mason, 54, of Detroit, was found guilty Sept. 10 of aggravated indecent exposure and assault in the 2024 incident after a two-day trial, according to online Macomb County Circuit Court records.

They indicate Mason was sentenced Oct. 30 to five years of probation and 30 days in the county jail, with credit for one day served, for the aggravated indecent exposure charge. He was sentenced to six months of probation and one day in the jail, with credit for one day served, for the assault charge by Circuit Judge Joseph Toia.
